Ryan got to go fishing, and did great!! He caught 3 halibut, but threw one back because you can only keep 2. One was a 25 lbs, and the biggest catch of the day!! He also caught red snapper (aka rock fish). We will not go hungry this summer!!

Sea Life Center and Homer, AK
Ok...this is a pic of Ryan while hiking Mt. Marathon. It doesnt seem too enjoyable, huh? Then some pics of an eagle we saw on the beach in Homer. I dont know why they are sideways.
These are our Homer pics. The Homer spit is 5 miles and the "end of the road". Its a bunch of art shops, fishing charters and food on a board walk. Also, since there is alot of shopping to do in Homer, they made this bench. The "Husbands waiting bench" (haha!).

We saw them weighing and fileting the halibut in Homer too. Also, we stopped at the Kenai River just to take some pictures because it was so beautiful. The bluest river I've seen.

Lodge Pictures
Above, is the tile art work that is found on almost all the homes in our area. You can see it on the lodge in several places. Below, is a picture of our cabin. There are a couple more below.

More pics from the roadtrip
Just a note about all the signs. This was in Whitehorse, YT and began with a soldier who missed his home in IL, and he posted his city's sign, now there are thousands of signs posted here by people who drive through. We didnt see Louisville or even Kentucky.
Seward
These are all from the first couple weeks in Seward. We both went out on the boat into the fjords and saw some whales, sea lions and glaciers. We also hiked up to exit glacier. We've been hiking some pretty good trails, doing a little kayaking, and patroning the local watering holes. People here are a little insane, but it's entertaining.
